5 Little Known Ways to Banish Cellulite and Look 10 Years Younger

In preparation for our upcoming BE Beauty program, I’ve been steeping myself in the wisdom of my dear friend, Nadine Artemis, and doing a lot of research and investigation into the beauty industry and what goes on in happily humming cells of our body, and it’s become very clear to me that there are a few things a girl’s gotta do if she wants to purge the cottage cheese from her thighs and feel radiant and healthy for the long haul!

You’ll be delighted to know that nothing I am about to share requires additional spending, excessive consumerism or fancy ingredients. What billboards will never tell you is that you can revolutionize your health and beauty by stripping away the sources of toxicity that are creating the problem in the first place.

In so many ways, the beauty industry is not unlike the modern medical industry where problems are addressed with a pharmaceutical band-aid rather than genuine, thoughtful investigation into the cause of illness followed by the discovery of appropriate dietary and lifestyle choices that would eliminate the problem completely.  The elimination of things in the search for simplicity is never a profitable model for anyone but Mother Earth and the health of her people, which is why Loréal and Clinque would throw a riotous fit if they knew that I was about to share these 5 potent tips to banish cellulite, bring back your natural glow and keep it there!

As soon as I moved to the country and turned on the tap, I felt like a billionaire. Having clean spring water or well water is one of the most incredible gifts I afford myself. I’m so lucky and never, ever, ever take for granted that I can turn on my tap and have clean water flow and fill the cells of my body!

Not everyone is as lucky, but there are solutions, filters and alternatives. If you visit www.findaspring.com, you’ll find out where you can access natural, fresh water springs in your area. If you don’t, consider investing in a filter, or having a spring water bottling company deliver to your house. There are solutions, and prioritizing clean water should be on the top of your list when it comes to health and lifestyle choices that will positively impact your overall health, well-ness and yes, even the cottage cheese on the backs of your thighs!

It’s important to realize that it’s not only drinking tap water, but even more so soaking in a hot bath or steaming yourself in the shower with municipal tap water. Once you know what’s flowing in your taps and how much of it is absorbed through your skin every day, it because really important to invest in filters and alternatives if there’s anything you can do about it.

There’s nothing natural about these oils by the time they reach your plate, and if you knew what they did to your skin, you’d keep them in those BPA- rich plastic bottles! About the only thing these oils are good for is fueling cars. In your skin, they create toxicity, and when you bring your beautiful skin out in the sun, with those oils circulating in your system, you get…

…fried face.

Yuck. But seriously, this is where your premature wrinkles, spots, inflammation and saggy skin are coming from!

If you need convincing that these are a problem, just listen to any one of a series of interviews I did recently with experts on eating disorders. Every single one of the specialists working with girls in recovery from eating disorders said that getting rid of beauty magazines is so important to the success of their clients.

There are multi-million dollar advertising companies competing for the real estate in your mind and the only way they get a piece of it is when you start flipping through the pages of another glossy glamour magazine. Those photoshopped thighs, botox and boosted breasts will never make you feel like the radiant reflection of life and love and confidence you really are.

Keep that real estate you’ve got between your ears for those who have the courage to tell you the truth–that beauty is more than skin deep, and you can’t buy it in pretty plastic bottles no matter how poreless and apparently “perfect” the model is who’s selling it to you!

 As long as you continue to quantify the value of your life in pounds and inches you will be devastatingly disappointed. This practice makes no sense. It is a completely unhealthy and irrational practice. Rather than wake up in the morning and measure the value of your life by the number on a scale, ask yourself these questions:

  • How do I feel?
  • What can I do about it?
  • Am I making choices that serve and support my best health?
  • What will make me feel amazing right NOW?
  • How much space can I take up in the world today?

You don’t need to fit into a size 6 skirt any more than you need to fit into a matchbox! Bust OUT of your shell, set the world on fire with your unmistakable authenticity, and rumble a roar in the world! You don’t need to be smaller. You need to start taking up more space in the world with who you are and how you dare to communicate, then your body will stop trying to compensate for the difference!

Honestly, do yourself a favor and bury your bathroom scale. Don’t give it away, don’t pass it on to a charity. Bury it so that it can never be a source of invalidation to another woman again!

Purge your cabinets of all those empty promises and do your body a favor. Your wrinkle cream is giving you wrinkles, and your cellulite cream is giving you cottage cheese on the back of your thighs. The plethora of petrochemical poisons they’ve been putting in your perfume are only messing with your pheromones and are in no small way responsible for the fact that you keep dating ding bats instead of prince charming.

Just let go of that stuff. It’s not helping you. It IS hurting you, I don’t care how pretty the packaging is.

Buy clay, coconut oil and start with the very basics. Boil pine needles and pick rose petals from your neighbor’s backyard. If you have an overripe avocado, a cucumber and some ground sea salts, you’re already well on your way to building a beauty artillery you can depend on and one that will give you some consistent, lasting results.

In a world where we’re bombarded by as many as 3000 messages per day telling us what to buy and why, it may be hard to believe that the only thing you need to do to improve your health, well-being and gorgeous good looks is actually get rid of a few villains in your vanity drawer.

    Phenomenal advice! I love the advice of ditching the beauty magazines and bathroom scales. They’re both so degrading and definitely don’t help bring a smile to my face:)

    So… I already do all this…I still have cellulite. I eat a high raw diet, I am active, I body brush, use grapefruit essential oil, yet it is still there.
    Maybe some more help?
