12-Day Countdown to 2012 – Day 4: Set Your Intentions for Beauty and Personal Care

This one is going to be easy for me!

Starting in 2012, we will be releasing a complete 30-Day Beauty makeover program through the Body Enlightenment website!

This will be SUCH an incredible program and loaded with vital info you need to know about the beauty care products you’ve been using and how they affect your health and well-being.

There are some amazing calls to take advantage of on the WISH Summit from this year. I recommend this call with Stacy Malkan and, of course, Nadine Artemis always knocks it out of the ballpark!

The BE Beauty program will be starting around January 30th, but registrations won’t be open until later January. We already made the BE Beauty kit available for purchase, and anyone who does get this kit will receive a significant discount on the cost of the program when it becomes available in January. You can check out a little video I did with my mom about this kit here:

Later in the year, we’ll be releasing a program through the Women’s Wellness University called “Beauty School Dropout”, where we take the ideas and wisdom from the BE Beauty program and go a whole lot deeper. We’ll really be getting into the basics of perfuming and learning so much more about the power of plants for health and beauty!

There is SO much to learn about natural beauty care, and I consider it JUST as important as proper food, exercise and healthy relationships. My personal beauty care routine is one of the most empowering and enjoyable things I do for myself, and I look forward to learning even more in the areas of beauty and personal care in 2012.

There are SO many exciting program coming down the pipes to support you this year through our website, but what are YOUR goals and intentions?

    I am going to aim to clean inside of my body first by eating and drinking greens. Then I would use beauty products that is pure and natural. I will drink more water, wake up early in the morning and go to bed by 11pm!!!

    eating as raw as possible and excersing at least 3 times per week, running, power walking or yoga, wearing make up, making an effort at dressing up, as being beatiful on the inside doen’t mean wearing whatever crap I find because I feel great and beautiful anyhow…

    Are to make them a priority in my life. As a single mother, I have to admit that I come last; and therefore, I rarely even put makeup on or do my nails. So this has to change!

    Making time each day for meditation and doing one thing per week not related to school or work.

    I am having a lot of trouble finding the links on this site. It is very hard to find days 5-8 so i have not been able to post on them. I keep searching different pages, but it is very confusing and there doesn’t seem to be a main page where one can access all 12 days.

    I intend to look after myself more in 2012, boost my confidence and value myself. My hair is a problem -so dry and unmanageable. That is my main target but aim to use natural conditioners and products.

    Oh I am so intending to really put a great deal of effort into this one in 2012. I intend to drink more green drinks, smoothies and wheatgrass shots and eat more raw foods. I intend to keep up with the dry skin brushing this year because it’s simple and it’s so good for you. My poor nails – they are chipped and neglected – this year I will take better care of them and use a natural nail polish so they look pretty. I’m going to walk more and I’ve just purchased the T-Tapp system so I intend to use that to enhance my health and beauty.

    This past year I started following Nadine’s protocol for taking care of your teeth/gums. I also just recently started doing some of Tanya Zavasta’s beauty protocol for skin. I really, really need to get a rebounder soon and start this form of exercise daily.

    My comment got deleted :( but basically last night when I was watching What Not To Wear the message of taking care of myself and not lettingm myself go for others really hit me over the head! I realized that right now I’m young and single — and that I have to cherish that!!!! For the majority of my life I will probably have to not only take care of myself but parents, a husband, children, a boss, etc etc, but for the most part, I don’t have those responsibilities now! So if I don’t take care of myself now, do you think I’ll find the time then?!

    In the area of beauty and personal care -quit drinking coffee instead of taking nourishment! Take nourishment instead of drinking coffee. Pay attention to and find my real friends and supports instead of drinking coffee. Be vulnerable and present to the realities of myself and my life instead of drinking coffee. Find a better bitter and say “Love you, bye!” to coffee.

    I intend to take better care of Me, Myself, and I!!! (I need to take time to put myself first more often!) Of course, I know exactly what to do — it is just DOING IT!!! I like what others have said and I agree — these intentions are all a must and so important to make a daily habit! I need to drink more water, continue drinking green smoothies, more exercise, and go to be earlier — before midnight! For exercise, I will do a mixture of Yoga, Pilates, Rebounding, and also special breathing exercises! (Check out Pam Grout’s book, “JUMP START YOUR METABOLISM.” Pam explains in a paperback book how breathing exercises are so important to health — and even weight issues/metabolism!) …I will take better care of my skin with a daily facial regime!

    i would LOVE to apply the knowledge i have and learn more on natural beauty care and REALLY take the time to pamper myself, heck just to really even just take of myself and teach my daughters to do the same, and I see exercise as another REAlly important piece to personal care, and that is one need on the top of the list for change!!

    My intentions for Beauty and Personal Care for 2012 is to replace all my soaps, lotions, hair care, makeup, etc. with plant-based, natural products. I have begun to use coconut oil and Arbonee (plant-based and gluten-free) products, but need to continue to replace ALL personal care products.

    Eat raw-er, drink more h2o, keep walking every day, find some way to exercise in winter when I can’t ride my bike & it’s too cold in my drafty apartment to get out of bed for yoga in the morning. Keep using lush products, as they’re the best for my skin/hair & I’m so grateful to have discovered a natural beauty routine that works well for me! (& not feel guilty about spending money on things like that.)

    Eat more whole foods, greens, avoid sugar, drink 2 bottles of water each day, exercise 5 days/week, sleep by 11 p.m. and maybe start going to a facialist. Get my mercury amalgams out when I pay off my credit card and get a shower filter. Positive attitude!!!

    My intention for beauty and personal care is a simple one – have a beauty regimen! I usually do a little of this and that, but nothing definite.     i plan to soak my feet…. they are rough and dry and i plan to soak them in wonderful warm coconut oils… make them smooth and soft and slather my whole body in wonderful organic oils and lotions…. keep it simple… fresh and healthy…..and yes lots of water and greens for the inside……

I’ve lost 50lbs eating a plant based diet and will continue with it hopefully to a very healthy weight in 2012, and I will continue to drink lots of green smoothies and enough water for glowing skin and healthy hair. :)

    I make conscious efforts to take care of my body through: dry skin brushing, applying moisturizers daily, doing masks every week, buying essential self-care stuff with a sense of joy and expansiveness.

    I go to bed by 11.15pm every night.

    I intend to incorporate more green smoothies and raw food into my diet and my daughter’s diet. She is 8 and has recently been concerned with growing her hair more quickly. My automatic response was add more raw greens to your diet. That only went over mediocre with her, but I plan to add more and more while making it all taste delish! I am inspired by her curiousity, and the green smoothie challenges!

    As someone who is allergic to EVERYTHING…I only use coconut oil as a moisturizer. I plan to get to bed on a regular time…which I know plays a huge role in everything…whether it be beauty…mood….health….

    Also plan to get into a daily/weekly routines…re home remedy face masks…or steaming…etc.

    Just finished reading Tera’s post on “The Most Valuable Lesson” and realized, yet again, how I start off strong and then fall off by committing to post my 2012 intentions and stopped at day 3. How is this a reflection of my life? I’m doing it!

    I have Cheryl Richardson’s Book for Extreme Self Care on my shelf and there’s a small chapter per month I want to read and apply through 2012. Her work is amazing and helpful and I don’t know of a better way (incremental & simple) to support my growth & goals for this area.
