Tomorrow at this time, I will have gone 17% of a year without smoking! Yeah, it may not seem like much right now, but I've woken up about 60 times without having a smoke. Not smoking is quickly becoming the norm for me. For example, yesterday I spent the majority of the day sitting at my desk and I barely thought about smoking at all until shortly before dinner.
I'm quickly moving towards the ranks of the ex-smoker and away from the guy who is quitting smoking.
Tomorrow will be a big milestone. But, the real big one is going to be on May 7th. After that, it's uncharted waters. I'll be past the point last year where I caved in and started smoking again. No worries. That won't happen again.
In other news, I'm really getting frustrated with my strained calf muscle. I want nothing more than to get out there and pound the pavement. Instead, I'm taking aspirin and driving around Portland looking for a calf sleeve. Doing the push-ups is all fine and good, but it ain't the same thing!
I've also gone on the mid-week wagon. The last beer I had was Monday night. I will say that I am looking forward to tomorrow's happy hour!
That's all, folks...save for this...
1 month, 4 weeks and 58 minutes smoke-free! 1,180.81 cigarettes not smoked! $363.10 saved!
