I am will be 27 weeks this Tuesday and about a week ago, I developed a smooth red rash just above both ankles on the lower part of my legs. I stand and walk for long periods of time at work (Universal Studios Orlando), and on breaks put my feet up when I can. I wear high-top (loosened) dancer sneakers (for ankle support) and usually very soft cotton above the ankle socks. My legs are always covered by pants yet the rash still occured. It isn't ALWAYS itchy, but it has been. The rash varies in size, anywhere from the size of 2 to 3 quarters, to small dotted spots.
I do not see my doctor for another two weeks and I'm not in any pain, but would like to know what this may be.
My mother, as of last year was diagnosed with Graves Disease (Thyroid disease) and had similar rashes. Hers however burned and were painful.
Any advice is appreciated!
*Note: Red rashes. Varies in size from 2 to 3 quarters, to small dotted spots. Visible for approx. two weeks. Occassionally slightly itchy. Hardens with slight swelling. Painless. Creating a red ring from one side of the lower leg (above ankles) to the other (no redness down the front of my calves) on both legs.
