Is it Tuesday, yet?! Let's just say this last week of being pregnant I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! Turns out #3 is sunny side up - so his/her backbone is resting on mine. Every time I get a contraction or the slightest movement I get muscle spasm like radiating pain from my tail bone all the way to my neck and sometimes down my legs. Chances of him/her rolling over are slim and it's not all that rare so unfortunately many people deal with this! Not that I was too thrilled for the whole labor process anyways, but now more then ever I'm really not looking forward to it ... back labor I hear is the worst.
It has been fun to see the kids get more and more excited as they realize there will be a new baby in the house. Yesterday, a few friends came by and all baby stuff is set up, cleaned up, and ready to be used. Bren finally clicked the baby in my tummy with the baby who is coming out eventually. He points to the various toys and bassinet and car seat and says, "baby" and then points to my tummy and says "baby" again. Ella woke up this morning asking if she could tickle her baby yet. She's so sweet and has such a loving gentle heart I'm excited to see her with the baby. I look forward to when Bren can play with the baby as he needs someone to tumble around with and be active with. Ella is great for cuddling and reading him books, but her idea of playing is more like teacher/school playing then the rough housing Bren seems to crave. It's a blast to watch him light up when Jacob or my mom get on the floor with him and just let him climb and wrestle around. I'm excited to not have this huge belly inhibiting me from doing the same! It'll be exciting to be able to sit back and watch who this #3 will become and how s/he is different/the same as the other two kids. I think things like this are what make being a parent such an awesome experience.
Hopefully, I'll find a few minutes to post some final pregnant ramblings before becoming not pregnant anymore! If not, look for a post Tuesday sometime with pictures and #3s details. I want to try to compile a list of all the results from all the predictions and post it before Tuesday, too.
