stop taking birth control?

i stopped taking my birth control pills about 5 weeks ago.  i should have gotten my period last week and i still have not gotten it,  i have had sex  with my husband during these 5 weeks and i have taken pregnancy tests and they all come back negative.   is my body just readjusting or should i go to my doctor to take another pregnancy test?
