pregnant or NOT? !

Posted by thunellb1

My last normal period was August 9,2009.
It ended the 16th of august.
My boyfriend and i had sex twice since then.
Unprotected, but he did not even use the pull out method, we stopped then he went into the bathroom and did his thing.
I had no signs of being pregnant or getting my period.
then i got my usually period signs around the 14th of September.
I still took a pregnancy test around a week after i missed my period. It was negative.
My period then came August 18
It seemed normal and heavy flow, but then it was on and off and on and off. for 4 days, then it was off. I then took another at home pregnancy test and that was negative. My normal period signs then went away after it was over,
A week later i took a blood test at the doctor and that was negative as well.
Could i be irregular under ALOT of stress from starting college?
But for the past week starting August 30 my breasts have gotten slightly larger.
But if i was pregnant this would be going on 6 weeks would it have shown up in the blood test by now?

oh and i am never regular by the way! i missed my period for 3 months once! and am always a week early or late.

a blood beta draw can detect hCG levels as low as .84 (from personal experience I know this) so if that test came up negative then no you are not pregnant
Thank you so much. I completely trust you with that. Especiallyy because it has been 7 weeks since my last real period. So it would have definately came up on the blood test correct?
yup...if there were any hCG in your system then it would have been detectable
not necessarily... a friend of mine missed her period for 4 months and no matter how many hpt or blood work she did, it came back NEGATIVE. when she hit 4 months of missedperiod she took another hpt and it came back to be possitive.  I guess it all depends on the persons body and how it works

but was that a urine test or a blood beta?

with urine tests it can happen because a small percentage of women don't metabolize hCG into their urine until the level is quite high...

that doesn't happen with blood betas

Oh yeh, it does... it happened to my friend anyways
