preggo or no preggo nipples?

they always say that you can tell if you are pregnant this way...... if the areola is darker than the nipple. what if its lighter?


does it look like it is spreading out? is that a sign of preggers?

the darkening of the areola can happen because of the spike in progesterone. The reason for the darkening is really interesting in that is helps a new born to find the nipple.  In the luteal phase though some women (like myself) experience a darkening every cycle so that isn't really a 100% sign for pregnancy. 


I have never heard of  lighter nipples as a sign of pregnancy though
