Nutrition During Pregnancy

During pregnancy, there are special nutrient requirement pregnant women must have:
FOLATE: This is essential for the formation of red blood cells.
EFA or Essential Fatty ACids: These are important for the normal development of cell walls of the baby's brain and eyes.
CALCIUM: This is important for building strong bones and teeth for the mother and baby.
IRON: This is to prevent anaemia, leaving mothers to pale, tired, breathless and faint.
