I had a miscarriage this week, and am experiencing what I believe to be a prolapsed uterus. I was 8 weeks along, the baby has passed, and the bleeding is moderate. This was my 4th miscarriage. My concern is that there is something in the vagina that should not be ... and I'm guessing it is my uterus! (Forgive me if that sounds stupid ... but it feels like something dropped.)
My question is whether it is safe to wait until Thursday -- 4 more days -- or later to see a doctor? I have a low-level of cramping and some random twinges of pain that feel like pulling. I am still dropping some clots and still bleeding, which I would have expected to have diminished by now, but it's moderate to minimal.
My doctor of choice (at the Center for High Risk Pregnancy) is out until Thur. Safe to wait? Or do I need to go somewhere earler for an ultrasound to check the status of the miscarriage and find out what else is going on?
