Hello,
I know I haven't posted in a while. Life has been keeping me busy. I cannot wait until the girls are older, yet at the same time I can. I am enjoying them so much at these ages, but sometimes I want them to be bigger so I can have more
me time. It's a lot to have 3 small children depending on you for everything.
That brings me to my review today. My steaming is my
me time. A while back I blogged about how much I loved my steamer that I got from
LCL Beauty (formerly Salons R Us)
here . They loved my review so much that they extended a coupon to all my readers
here . I was so ecstatic that I told everyone and they mama (I really did). So after everyone and they mama bought a steamer (they really did).
LCL Beauty decided to go ahead and send me their newest steamer for FREE! I was so happy! All they asked for in return was a honest review. They make the steamers themselves, so they are always trying to find ways to make it better.
So as you can see from the image, they changed the color to black for a sleek new look, and also the way the steaming compartment is made general. I love the new color, so that was 1 point already. They put the water holder on the bottom rather than on the top like the original. I found that personally to be better, because it was a bit much, in the original steamer, that you would have to hurry up and turn the jug over and stick it in the hole before water wasted everywhere (which is what happened the first time I used it). That was not a big deal, but at the same time, I am glad I don't have to do it anymore. Having it at the bottom is also suppose to make it easier for you clean the metal heating unit. Another point there for improvement.
Another change that was made is the button. There is only one button now. So there will be no more confusion on which button was hotter and etc. I personally would forget sometimes which was hotter, and since I hated the lower setting (sorry but it barely steamed anything) and would just press both. LOL. It has an Professional Strength of 620w for maximum steam output. And a 30 minute auto-shutoff silent timer with no annoying ticking sounds. I also believe it doesn't take as long to for the steam to start either. I am not sure, haven't compared yet. So more points for improvement there. Another thing that I love is that they got rid of the metal bar in the hood. I like to stick my hands up in my hair as I am steaming. And I would get burnt by it whenever I forgot about it. Not bad enough to do any damage, but enough for me to snatch my hand outta there real quick. LOL. So more points for improvement. And last but not least. With this new steamer you can use TAP WATER. I know a lot of people are estactic about that. I am too, yet at the same time. The water over here is so bad (supposed to one the worst in the country) that I think I will stick with distilled. Unless someone tells me there is some type of automatic filter. The water here is so bad, that if I want healthy hair I HAVE (no choice) to use a shower filter. So I am not taking any chances. But if I was back home in Miami, it would be tap water all they way.
So all in all I love the new steamer, it has been improved noticably. And I will stick with this and give the other to a friend (but then again DH loves and uses the original still, so we'll see.)
Five stars all the way
