Some of you may have read the story of Jenny and her son Graham in Glamour last month. Today, while browsing AOL news, I came across the story from Glamour with a link to 13 photos of celebrities who have allegedly or admittedly suffered from some form of PPMD. This is another win for Postpartum advocates, though it is not without the challenge of making PPD seem over dramatized and insignificant since those who do not understand PPMDs make claims like "if they have all this money and all this help and claim PPD, then it can't be that bad and it has to be a publicity stunt or only a claim by goofy actors and musicians." However, we all know how real the disorders are and what havoc they can wreak on our families and ourselves.
Here's the link- check it out: http://www.aolhealth.com/condition-center/depression/postpartum-depression-twins
I didn't know that a couple of these folks had suffered. As far as I am concerned, the benefits to the story outweigh the drawbacks.
