how late can you ovulate for a day 21 blood test to be positive??

I know people tend to say allow 7 days from ovulation to have a progesterone blood test, but can it be less than that? i had bloods taken on day 23 with a result of 69.5 so ovulation occured, im now cycle day 33 today and no period yet?? if i ovulated 7 days before day 23 i would now be late for my period bu if i ovulated the day before i had my blood test i wouldnt be late yet, any advice?

Do you happen to know which day you actually ovulated? That can totally make a difference as to what could be happening because that leaves a five to six day window either way. 

Are you using any other ovulation detection method outside of your blood draws? Charting, ferning, Ovuwatch, OPK's, etc?
