If you have a fever, chills, red patches or hard lumps in your breasts you may have an infection (mastitis).  I have had this and it is very difficult, but you can continue to breastfeed.  Some doctors recommend antibiotics, but echinacea tincture 30 drops, 3 x's a day for 2 weeks combined with 24 hrs. straight bedrest will also help.  Please talk to your doctor/midwife about your symptoms or see a lactation consultant.

Good luck,
