Amazing - January 1, 2010 is here. Where did 2009 go? Last year truly feels like a blur...this time last year Addie was *just* starting to crawl, and expanding her tastebuds beyond watered-down rice cereal. This year she's a running, talking, busy-busy-busy little girl...complete with pigtails, a mouthful of teeth, and a propensity to say "NO". Amazing.
I glanced back at last year's Jan 1 post, to see what goals we set for 2009. As I've mentioned, I don't do resolutions. Pointless. But goals I'm all over. Now some of the goals we set for last year didn't make it in 2009 - like a sibling project. And my book being finished. But so much great stuff happened, that I don't even care. That's what the goals of 2010 are all about! So I will put the book back on my list, but the sibling project has been put to rest for good. Now our goals revolve around focusing on Addison, and helping her to become the best person she can be. We'll also continue to look after our careers, our house projects, our attempts at more regular date nights, and a few other fun and exciting things.
So here's my Top 10 list for 2010:
Exercise more, and eat less junk.
Spend more time doing fun family activities. Now that Addie is older and more capable, our options have expanded.
Get back to people more quickly - whether email, phone or mail.
Spend more time with family and friends.
Finally, finally, finally, put up all the pictures in our house.
Take off my toenail polish, and repaint, rather than let it just grow out (I know, this seems like an odd one, but what this means is that I need to spend more time taking care of myself!)
Keep my computer closed when Addie is up and wanting to play.
Clean out all the junk drawers...and don't refill them!
Take a novel writing course and finish my book.
Document, in hard copy form, Addison's milestone moments. I had a dream a few weeks ago that the world wide web exploded and this blog was lost...
Happy New Year to all my blogger friends - hope 2010 brings amazing things your way!
