6. Smoking, Drinking, and Using Drugs: You have a higher possibility to miscarry a baby if you smoke, drink and use drugs like cocaine and MDMA (ecstasy). There is also a study that associates between caffeine consumption and a higher risk of miscarriage.

7. Medications: It is always important that any medication you will take is approved or recommended by your health care provider because some medications have been linked to increase the risk of miscarriage.

8. Environmental Factors: Environmental toxins like arsenic; some chemicals, like formaldehyde, benzene, and ethylene oxide; and large doses of radiation or anesthetic gases might increase your risk.

9. Paternal Condition: There is a study that a sperm can fertilized an egg despite the sperm was damaged by environmental toxins. Some studies have found a greater risk of miscarriage when the father has been exposed to mercury, lead, and some industrial chemicals and pesticides.

10. Obesity: There are some studies showing obesity as a factor for miscarriage.
