Essure reversal is being performed as an out-patient procedure at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.
With this procedure the healthy part of each fallopian tube is seperated from the uterus. Because there are parts of the metal coil that go into the uterus the surgeons remove them as to not cause complications in any future pregnancies.
The healthy part of each fallopian tube is inserted into the uterine cavity. This way the the portion of the scarred tube is bypassed and the Essure is reversed thus making pregnancy possible again.
Pain after Essure removal has not been a complaint.
