Endometriosis and ectopic pregnancy

Posted by fiona

Hi

I had an ectopic preganancy in 1998 and have been suffering abdominal pains over the last few years.  With this I have many other unusual symptoms which appear unrelated.  The doctor has suggested that I am checked for Endometriosis.  If my right fallopian tube was removed, does this increase the risk of endometrium cells entering the blood stream and if so how can this be dedected?

This would be a question to ask your doctor.  The only way you can know for sure if the cells have moved and spread and to see the extent of the damage is to be checked (laparoscopic surgery).  Endometriosis can spread to other organs of the body.

I hope you figure this out, Best Wishes!
