Does a before birth paternity test harm the fetus? and do u need a court order ?

Posted by labybug45

I am pregnant and currently out of touch with my husband. He does not want the child and he claims we are divorcing but never served me any papers. I want him to know, if there is any doubt that this is not his child. I am willing to wait if the test may cause any complications with the pregnancy.

No a birth before the paternity test does not make a difference.  They take DNA (swabs from the inside cheeks) from the father and the baby to determine if they match.  As to if they do a partenity test while pregnant, this I don't know.  You can always call your local testing site to ask questions.   I hope this helps
