Did I lose my mucus plug?

Chances are, it wasn't your mucus plug.  From your description, it sounds like regular discharge caused by your elevated hormones.  If I'm wrong, and it is your mucus plug, I wouldn't worry as they can grow back. Some women never lose it, others lose a mucus plug multiple times.  It is in no way a reliable sign of impending labor.

 

If you start having contractions after passing this discharge or you notice that it is tinged pink, red or brown, tell your doctor immediately.

Its a possibility that it may be your mucus plug. I say this because I myself have had a stringy mucus coming out everytime i wipe. You should go get checked with your doctor. I didnt bother to ask my doctor cuz i thought it was just discharge but at my 30 week appt i was hospitalized for having contractions and being 3 cm dilated. come to find out it wasnt discharge i was having. I am currently on bed rest and the mucus has stoped till today lol.. Oh ! and by the way the mucus plug does not have to be pink or red or bloody, mine was clear and it continues to be clear. So just go get checked or ask your OB to be on the safe side.

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and just had the same thing happen to me. I called the doctor and he said that is just sounds like regular discharge. If you start having any cramping or discomfort I would call the doctor right away.

i am 28 weeks pregnant and i thought i lost my mucus plug 4 days ago....it was just a white chunk like in the toilet??? im just not sure though!!!  i have been spotting every time i go pee and wipe but it's not a lot and its pink. i dont know if it was my mucus plug though....what do you all think???
