Can you still get your period if you are pregnant?

Posted by stella1

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant for the past 4 weeks (approx.).  I've been feeling slightly naseaus for the past 1-2 weeks.  But, I got my period on Tuesday.  It's acting like my normal period, but, I feel dizzy, faint, hot then cold, my stomache is bloated and feels hard to the touch, like I have a ball in it, headache, blurry vision off and on (only for a second), can't concentrate.  These are not normal symptoms for me when I get my period.  Could I be pregnant even though I have my period ( or what I think is my period)?  Or maybe it's just a stomache bug?

sincerely, stella1

It sounds as though its a stomach bug.

though if you are wondering taking a pregnancy test should give a dependable result one way or another.

For the record... a "period" is simply not possible during a pregnancy but there can be pregnancy related bleeding
