Can I still be pregnant if I've tested negative?

Posted by curiousgirl

I skipped my period and my breasts are swollen. I also get minor cramps once in a while, and I constantly have to go to the bathroom to urinate. I've only tested once, and it came out to be negative, but I'm skeptical about the result.

at what point in your cycle did you test?
a little after 4 days being late i took the test.

then the result would be reliable.

of course, you might not have been late at all if you had a delayed ovulation.  It would make you think your period is late but if you ovulate "later" than normal then that will extend your cycle. Your luteal phase would stay the same though- which is why I say you wouldn't really be"late".

did you have any unusual stress recently? maybe some sort of medical procedure? A change of weight? etc
