A new heating system was put into our home three years ago. SInce then we have had much trouble with the system and have to call out technicians every season we got it for repairs. Each time freon needed to be replaced as it leaked out. I have been pregnant twice through out this time and now have two young children. I am concerned that a health risk has been posed and would like further information.
Both children have very odd allergies and one of them has asthma. In both pregnancies, I experienced problems with early labor which resulted in bedrest. Luckily, both children were born full term with perfect Apgars. We have no known pregnancy issues, allergies or asthma in either of our families and went through genetic testing prior to conceiving (all tests came out completely clean). As we need to have our freon replaced yet again, I am concerned that this may effect my children's health.
