Bringing Back Sensuality and Passion to Your Conception Efforts

Posted Mar 14 2011 2:58pm

When you are focusing intently on your fertility cycle and trying to conceive, suddenly your love making sessions may take on a whole different meaning: to make a baby NOT to make love. This can leave you feeling as if you are a machine which must turn itself off and on depending on whether or not you are ovulating. It sure can take the fun out of trying to get pregnant!

If you are finding it difficult to get in the mood due to the stress trying to conceive may be causing in your relationship, then it is time to light that fire again and make lovemaking just that again – a time to enjoy each other in the most intimate way possible.

There are a lot of ways to spice things up and bring back the sensuality and sexuality to your conception efforts. Setting the right mood and taking time away to really relax and enjoy the moment are just a few way, but when the stress you’re under has taken a physical toll, you may need a bit more help.

While some people may rely on prescription drugs, alcohol or other more common options to relieve erectile dysfunction, lost libido or even downright fatigue, there are more natural ways to increase your sexual desire and make you a more willing partner . Mind-Body therapies and herbs are a great way to give your body what it needs to get your motor revving like it used to and make the baby you long for.

The mind has a big part to play when it comes to increasing libido, especially for women. While herbs can be helpful (which we will explore in a minute), working with the mind to increase sexual desire can be very powerful and fun!

Circle+Bloom has a mind/body program which can help to bring back the sensuality in to baby making. Their program called “Shameless Baby Making”. They describe it as a four session series helping you to engage your body again in the act of love-making. Reconnecting with the pleasure side of you will help not only your relationship, but ultimately your fertility as feeling pleasure is such a wonderful way to reduce the harmful effects of stress. Feeling sexy is good for you and good for your body it can transform your life.

Some of the benefits of this program:

  • Cure yourself from shame, fear and body confidence issues
  • Learn relaxation techniques that quiet the mind and fire up nerve endings
  • Improve body-image feelings and learn to have a great sense of your own sexual energy
  • Learn the power of relaxation and visualization to improve sexual health

Used by themselves or combined together, these passion-inducing herbs may be just what you both need to get (and stay) in the mood:

    Ginseng
The Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has recently reported that Ginseng can and does increase both male and female libido. That’s not new news to the Chinese medicine practitioners wow have used it for centuries to do just that. No one knows exactly how it works (although there are a variety of theories being looked at), but one thing is certain, taking daily doses of Ginseng does have a beneficial effect on treating erectile dysfunction in men ( Male Performance blend is perfect for this) and increasing vaginal secretions to enhance a woman’s desire. Sometimes that is all that is needed to get things moving in the right direction.

    Maca Root
Grown in the mountains of Peru, Maca Root was rediscovered by the Spanish settlers when they realized that the high altitudes of the mountains was sapping their virility. When they asked the locals how they enhanced their sexual desire, they were introduced to this root. Lost for hundreds of years, Maca Root has recently been rediscovered for its ability to increase sexual desire in both men and women by increasing blood flow to the pelvic region; increasing vaginal secretions in women and enhancing testosterone levels in men.

    Damiana
A female aphrodesiac, damiana has been used for centuries to help increase circulation to the reproductive system as well as increase sexual pleasure. It can be drunk as a tea (it is found in our Conceptions Tea ) or taken as a pill.

    Saffron
Used by the ancient Egyptians to increase their sex drive, Saffron is a powerful herb that works to increase blood flow to the pelvic area, which ultimately boosts sexual feelings in both sexes. Very expensive, yet said to be very effective ( I have personally never eaten enough of this spice to “feel” a difference), Saffron makes a great flavor enhancer in many recipes.

    Muira Puama
A tonic herb from the Amazon Rain Forest, Muira Puama has been used for centuries to help keep sexual organs strong and energized. When studied in France it was discovered that 62% of patients using the herb reported increased libido; 90% reported improved erections and 100% reported an increase in their sexual encounters when using the herb. This herb is found in our Male Performance blend.

    Horny Goat Weed
A wonderful all-natural substitute for Viagra, horny goat weed has been known to increase male virility and give men longer and harder erections. This herb is found in our Male Performance blend

    Vitex (Chasteberry)
Known as an all-around female reproductive enhancer, Vitex can be used to treat many female issue including a lethargic libido. Able to increase circulation to the genitals, Vitex will also increase vaginal mucus to enhance sexual sensation and improve a woman’s energy levels.

Trying to get pregnant under duress can really zap the romance and enjoyment out of the entire experience. Whether your libido is suffering from the stresses of trying to start a family; a medical issue; or simple fatigue, these simple herbal remedies may be just what you need to jump-start your love life and get both of you more interested in enjoying one another intimate once again.
