38w5d. And that means I've met the single digit milestone. Nine days until I'm due.
In the meantime, my blog has reached a new level of boring. (Not that it was ever that interesting. It's just that "I'm more pregnant and still nothing is movin' or shakin'" posts are taking it to a new low). Nothing to say, but that we are patiently waiting for baby to decide to come check out the outside world. Still no signs that my body is doing anything to move toward labor. My midwife will want to do a cervical check on Friday to see how things are going, but I don't think I'm interested. I'm pretty certain I won't be going before my due date. So I might just pass on the exam. We'll see.
Baby stuff is pretty much all in place. Even the changing table is stocked and ready to go. Everything is ready but baby. The only thing we need to do is install the car seat that is sitting on the dining room floor. I guess we'll get on that this weekend. I'll also try and do some cooking so we'll have a few freezer meals to for easy eating after we return home.
I received an e-vite for the first birthday party of one of my friend's sons a few days ago. The friend that started trying to conceive the same cycle that I did. It's a reminder that if things had gone more "normally," I would have a kid about his age. It's also a reminder of how blessed I am to have this baby in my belly. Even if he/she is hiding from me.
