Birthday Party Recipes

Marinated Tomato Salad
5 tomatoes, sliced thick
8oz mushrooms, sliced thick
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt

In a shallow dish, layer the tomatoes and mushrooms. Mix the rest of the ingredients well and pour over vegetables. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.


Macaroni and Cheese
1lb elbow macaroni
1 1/2 lbs shredded cheddar cheese, mild
Milk
Salt and pepper

Heat oven to 375. Cook macaroni until very done, a few minutes more than the package states. Drain and put in serving dish. Stir in cheese, mixing completely. Add milk until almost, but not quite, covering the macaroni. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil. Place in oven and cook for 1 hour, removing foil after 30 minutes if you want a crunchier top.


Party Penne with Sausage
1lb sweet sausage
1lb penne pasta
1 jar marinara sauce
1 jar alfredo sauce
1 jar roasted red peppers

Heat oven to 325. Microwave sausage on high for 5 minutes. Turn sausage over and microwave on high another 2 minutes. Slice the sausage and set aside. Cook penne according to directions on package. Pour marinara and alfredo sauces into large bowl and stir to combine. Drain red peppers and slice into thin strips. Drain pasta and return to pot. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into casserole or chafing dish. Cook in oven for 30 minutes, or until warmed through.
