What kind of camera do you have and where did he find that remote? It's just what I need since my new camera doesn't have a self timer!
I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi that I bought two years ago. It's been one of my best investments. I haven't taken the time to learn a lot about the camera, although I'd love to have the time to take a photography workshop. I have enough basic knowledge from my yearbook days to get by and I try my best to capture as many memories as I can with my camera.
The remote is this Canon Wireless Remote and Mike purchased it through Amazon. It's really easy to use. All I had to do was set the camera to self-timer and then press a button. I set my camera up on this tripod to take the pictures in my Christmas post. I think it will be great for the next time Mike and I go on vacation. We'll be able to take good pictures of the two of us (or all of us...) together without burdening someone else to take them for us. :)
While I have no desire to be a photographer, for numerous reasons, I do enjoy taking pictures of my kids. Each year, I make a collage of the best pictures from the year. I started the first year Mike and I were dating and they are all hanging in our basement. I really enjoy looking at the old pictures and seeing how far we've come -- and how much we've aged. :) I love all of the memories that can be captured with photos.
