Just a quick note explaining my lack of posts this week ... but we're sick again! The girls had a day or two of runny noses last week, but seemed to recover very quickly. However, I caught it and have been miserable for a week! Just as I thought I might finally be getting better, Liana started spiking a fever yesterday. She doesn't have any other symptoms (other than maybe sounding a bit congested), so I'm hoping it's just a winter virus ... and not sign of a secondary infection (like the ear infection we had two months ago!). We got lots of weekend plans, so here's to hoping everybody feels better soon - and Amaya doesn't catch it!
For the last two weeks, the girls have gotten into this crazy habit of waking at the crack of dawn (or before!) again ... which is not helping any of us recover faster from our illness! We've had several 5:30am wake-up calls, and one day Amaya was even up for the day by 4am! Ah! Tell me this is just a phase!
On the brighter side, I've really noticed a change just in the last week or two of how long the girls can play by themselves or with each other without needing much intervention from me. And I love it! Reading books is still their favorite thing to do, and yesterday I caught them reading a book together and to each other for the first time. So cute! Granted, it only lasted about 30 seconds before they started to fight over who got to turn the page .... :)
