Am I pregnant?

I have been on birth control for the past few years. My boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex a few times in the past month. After my period came (lasted ~4-5 days), I started to bleed about 5 days after my period stopped. At first, it wasn't heavy but a few days later it became so heavy that I could wear a tampon and pad. The bleeding went on for about 5 days and was a bright red color just like any other period. A day after it stopped, I started to lightly bleed again and then these past few days I have had very light red/pink color on my underwear. My period is due in 5 days and I am worried about why I am bleeding on and off like this. I have had no cramping or nausea. Does this sound like I could be pregnant?
