A Full Plate

Posted Jan 27 2009 7:17pm
Many of us as new moms experience an all new sort of "full plate" after realizing that feeling overwhelmed with a full schedule and long to-do list before having a child is NOTHING compared to our current reality. This week has been a real test and reality-check for me...A nanny search, selling our third car, and preparing for a Baby Shower I am hosting for my dear friend in my home are the additional tasks of the week. Of course, this is in addition to working a full-time job, being a full-time wife and mom, and the usual doctor's appointments, hair cuts, and other weekly tasks that we all have on our list to accomplish.

I am still working on starting a PPD Support Group in Atlanta, since the closest one is so far away in Peachtree City. I am perplexed about how to actually get the word out...but I am working on it! If you have any ideas of how to market such a group, please let me know! In the meantime, I am contacting PPD professionals and frankly anyone else who deals with new moms- including my hair stylist, to ask how I may get this group going and find some people in need. Surely in the Atlanta metro area with 5 million people living here there are at least a few who have PPD or aren't sure, but would benefit from support, caring, and prayer.

Well, seeing as I have already told you about all I have going on this week, I better go...
