101 in 1001: 3 Month Update

Posted Nov 03 2009 10:01pm
COMPLETED
10. Get dental work done.
Read post here.

11. Complete 200 Sit Up Challenge.
Read post here.

72. Take the kids apple picking.
Read post here.

IN PROGRESS
2. Lose 80 pounds.
I have no idea where I stand with this. Me and the scale aren't hanging out right now. I know I haven't been doing anything at all to lose weight and Halloween started the "holiday season of doomed diets" so I may have to put this one on hold until the new year.

3. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week.
I need new sneakers. I know it's crappy, as excuses go, but that's the one I'm sticking with. I'll b e at the gym in January with all the resolution people. Yay.

16. Read 50 books I already own.
I read 10 books that I already owned this past month. You can read my mini-reviews here.

17. Read all 100 books on the BBC book list.
I read 1 book from the list last month. You can read the review with all of my other book mini-reviews through the link above.

45. Take a self portrait everyday for a year to get over my hatred of having my picture taken. Post pictures to the 365 Project.
Missed a couple of days but still trucking along. It's funny looking back on the pictures. You can see the stint where I did my hair every time I managed to get a shower. And then you see where I stopped that insanity and started putting it up in a messy bun again.

47. Compile a cookbook of my favorite recipes.
I added a whopping 1 recipe this month. Can't do any more with this until I finish trying the recipes in the cookbooks I own.

48. Make a bucket list.
I don't think I added anything to this. I know I thought of things but I never remembered them once I got the chance to try to write them down. Going to have to focus on this a little more.

86. Try 20 new (to me) restaurants.
None this month. The one opportunity we had to go out to dinner, the husband wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory. We went there on our honeymoon, so it didn't count.

94. Watch every movie on AFI's America's Greatest Movies 1998 list.
I watched 1 movie on the list this month. You can read my mini-review here.

95. Watch one movie that was released for each year from 1940-2009 that I haven't seen.
I watched 14 movies that qualified this month. You can read the movie mini-reviews by clicking the link above.
