I became a massage therapist and mind/body therapist after supporting a lover who died of cancer.  When the western medical community said, "There is no hope", I said "bull shit" and went looking for hope.

My friend did die of cancer but it changed me forever.  My core beliefs about life, death, spirituality and wellness changed.  Even the quality of the touch of my hand changed.  That experience seemed to be about my healing, not his.   I went on to study energy medicine, the Law of Attraction (before it hit the Big Time), ayurveda and finally obtained an Associate Degree in massage therapy so I could have a license to touch people.
 
Yet, even after those accomplishments, there was always this feeling that massage therapy was just a stepping stone. After years, months and weeks of asking, "What am I supposed to do?"  The answer came after watching Rick Warren's talk on Ted.com about a "Life of Purpose".  Pastor Warren says that if we use our gifts, God smiles on us.  Even though I'm not particularly religious - I GOT IT.  But what were my gifts?

I could not answer that question, so I shot out some emails and asked others.  Within a few replies, the answer came to me very clearly, "You really should look into that life coaching thing.  One of your gifts is being able to look into a people's lives and help them change their perspective in a positive way.  Like a jump start on life."

Within a few weeks I was enrolled in the International Coach Academy to become a certified life coach.  From there I went on to find the people I was supposed to help, my niche.  At first I thought it was doctors' wives.  Quickly I found out that doctors' wives were hard to reach.

The entire time I was trying to reach doctors' wives, I kept fielding questions about websites, technology and marketing from other helping professionals or small businesses.  My niche came to me - showing helping professionals and microbusinesses how to attract more clients.

So here I am a massage therapist and a life coach who specializes in marketing for helping professionals as well as relationship coaching around codependency issues.    

Not to mention that I am the mother of 3 children and 4 step children, grandmother to 7 grandchildren and wife to one amazing physician! At 50 years old, I play soccer three times a week and have become one of the leading goal makers on a 30+ indoor soccer team.

We live on an 80 acre farm in the house of our dreams, living the life of our dreams largely through the Law of Attraction.

Although I do believe I'm an extraordinary woman, I also believe that anyone can consciously choose peace, love, happiness & wellness in their lives.  If you can change you mind, you CAN change your life.
