My goal is to loose weight this year through eating healthier and less and exercising more.  I have fixed myself up in every other way (fixed my teeth, took care of my acne, got a great hair cut, etc) and last semester, my busiest and final semester, was so chaotic that I gained about 20 pounds.  So my final goal, by Dec. 31 of this year, is to reach my ideal weight between 130-140.  Or about a size 7. My goal is to loose weight this year through eating healthier and less and exercising more.  I have fixed myself up in every other way (fixed my teeth, took care of my acne, got a great hair cut, etc) and last semester, my busiest and final semester, was so chaotic that I gained about 20 pounds.  So my final goal, by Dec. 31 of this year, is to reach my ideal weight between 130-140.  Or about a size 7.

That is 90-80 pounds I want to loose this year and I am serious about it.  I know that is a lot to do in one year but I feel like if I set my goals high I will achieve them, or at least get closer than I have ever done before.  And I no longer have any excuses.  I am done with school, I have no distractions, everything else is taken care of.

I plan on setting weekly and monthly goals for myself to help me achieve my end goal.  I know that just saying, "I want to loose 90 pounds this year" and leaving it at that is not going to motivate me so if I set mini-goals I will be better at achieving my long term goals.   I am also going to start a diary with pictures and motivation and an exercise and food diary so I know what I am doing right, what I am doing wrong, and what to change.  So here goes this week’s goal and this month’s goals…  

This week’s goal is to eat fruit twice a day (I am very bad at eating fruit) as my snacks or dessert or with breakfast.  Doesn't matter, just have to have two fruits every day.

My month’s goals are to: walk to/from BART (about 20 minutes each way) on my way to/from work when possible (i.e. when I am not running late or when it isn’t raining); go for walks on my lunch breaks instead of watching TV on my computer; exercise 1 hour a day, 5 days a week (and exercise can mean just going for a walk or a hard-core work-out, the goal here is to do something, anything, opposed to doing nothing); to eat out only one time this entire month (because I already have plans with my friend); and to eat vegan meals except for 1 meal a day which can include meat, dairy, and cheese.
