Rock the Boat

Posted Oct 07 2008 7:14pm
I like to give you lots of options for practice exercises and variations on the classical pilates poses to keep your at-home practice fresh and challenging. In that spirit, here's a great pose that works the entire core!

Begin by lying on your back. Draw your knees into your chest and lift your head and shoulders off the mat. Rock up to a seated postion and balance on your bottom. With a proud chest, straighten your legs out to a 45-degree angle and extend your arms out to your sides. Hold for three seconds then tuck in and roll back to the starting position. Complete 3 sets of 12 to 15 repetitions.

To share some of your favorite exercises, just post a comment or send me an email.
