Did you know that everyday 6,000 young people aged 15-24 are infected with HIV? Did you know that AIDS kills a child every minute? Or that 15 million children worldwide have been orphaned by AIDS, losing one or both parents to the disease?*
To support HIV prevention efforts, Flat Belly Pilates will host a charity event, Beyond Pilates, on Saturday, December 1 (World AIDS Day) to raise money forYouthAIDS. YouthAIDS is an organization that seeks to reach 600 million young people in more than 60 countries with life-saving messages, products, services and care through the use of media, pop culture, music, theatre and sport to stop the spread of HIV.
You can help by joining Flat Belly Pilates for a FREE 30-minute pilates session and donating to the cause. Although classes are free, a minimum donation of $25 is greatly appreciated and will be used to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS among the youth. To check the availability of free in-home sessions on December 1, please email Ivory Howard ativory@flatbellypilates.com.* SOURCE: YouthAIDS. Population Services International (PSI). 2007.
