Are there any good online pilates sites?

Posted by Carrie H.

I'd love to find a pilates site that shows video or illustrates exercises. A book is fine but when I'm traveling I'd like to be able to jump online (since I always have my computer with me) and find some new exercises to try. Any URLs to share with me?

Check out mypilatesvideos.com they just launched a new site and are updating new videos each week...you can subscribe to the podcast from itunes even and have the updates automatically!

They also are releasing a pilates certification for matwork - this might be a great way to get the inside scoop of pilates with download instructional videos - perfect for getting pilates anytime anywhere!

try www.vitalflow.co.uk - all the videos are done by the site's UK owner and Pilates expert Josie McKenlay... try it I think you will like it, 2 days free then its a small monthly cost to view as many times as you like... much cheaper and easier than going to a class!
YesPilates.com is awesome... it includes newsfeeds, podcasts, featured trainers, articles with exercises also.

The best site I know of, and it is new, is Ultimatepilatesworkouts.com

They have video links and post workouts for every piece of equiptment.  You can download them onto your Ipod as well, so when you travel or go to the gym you have them at hand.  This is the most comprehensive site I have found through my research! Definitely check it out!

Yes, there are and here is an excellent one.  Check out UltimatePilatesWorkouts.com.  The site is awesome, and there is a wide variety of really great tools including Pilates workout videos and training videos. What's really great is that you can create your own workout options, and even download your favorite workouts for free.  The site is updated frequently so there is always something new to add to your workout and since you can create your own workout or download a workout there's always a something new.  It's also great because you can access it with any portable media device, so its very convenient.  Check it out.  I think you will love it.

Pilates on Fifth has a ton of video podcasts online for free - have fun!
I haven't looked at this site in a while, but I think www.realpilatesnyc.com offers free podcasts of pilates routines.
Try itunes. Download iTunes (pretty sure it's free) and look up fitness podcasts, which can be downloaded free and viewed on your computer or an iPod if you have one. They have some great workouts on there.
Some sites to look at. Check out http://www.jillianhessel.com/sitemap.html for some free pilates clips. Try http://www.expertvillage.com/interviews/increase-flexibility.htm as well. They claim to be the largest site for how-to videos. Plus there's always youtube.
