It takes a lot of focus and core strength to mantain the straight and stable body while the shoulder blades work and the arms circle in controlled movements.
Notice how Joe is looking straight forward, not at the ground or up at the ceiling? His forward gaze also helps to maintain his steady upper back and neck alignment.
