Hawke! I have not posted in a while. . . .one of Hawke's difficulties is eating soft foods. He is eating soft foods but not very much and he is not too fired up about it. Vomiting has decreased significantly since we stopped giving him Zantac and started Prevacid; while were camping he did it again. . .the first thing that runs through your head is what other symptoms is he exhibiting and is it a shunt failure. We adjusted the prevacid dose (within gastrologists recommendation). We took the past week off NO APPOINTMENTS! SO nice, especially for my wife whom is the major take Hawke to appointments person; I'll watch the girls and a family member will watch them if it is a critical appointment. . . .if the appointment is short enough I take Hawke, depends on feeds and time on road. It's amazing how some doctors advise to stop giving him breast milk and start giving cow milk and vice versa. Haven't some of these doctors read the nutritional breakdown on breast milk? Some have and reiterate it's importance. Although it would be nice if he would take off with soft foods (I know he will, just a matter of when). Sometimes it is challenging seeing babies his age or 8 months and how "normally" developed they are. Plenty to be thankful for as Hawke continues to amaze and be a blessing. Here are some pics of Hawke and his first camping trip on the beach. |
