Plumbing problems

Posted Jan 14 2009 8:38pm
When most Americans hear the words plumbing problems, chances are they think of a leaky faucet, showerhead or water supply line. As a person with a disability plumbing problems can mean something entirely different.

I was sitting at my computer this morning reading my mail and the Pittsburgh post-Gazette when I glanced down to my right and noticed a huge puddle on the floor. The first time this happened I was thinking Nala had an accident on my hardwood floor. Experience has taught me that Nala never has an accident on the floor, it's much more likely that I am the guilty party.

It seems my urinary drainage bag was leaking and was dripping on the floor..... Ugh! Luckily Beth was not very far along on her commute to work. I reached her by cell phone and she was able to solve the problem.

Hopefully my day gets better, the best would be that the Pittsburgh Penguins ticket office calls to tell me I have Stanley Cup tickets. But at this point I would settle for not peeing on the floor the rest of the day...
