Stats July 2012

Stats July 2012

The statistics for last month are a bit low but not horrendous, they remind me of last summer. No one is really inside sitting on their computer, which makes sense, people are busy at the pool or doing other stuff.

I had fun with Shawn on August 7th the day before my birthday as always we enjoy Crashes, Airtime, and Pileups. Lots of fun there

I got more birthday cards obviously. I scanned them all in and here they are to see!

It didn’t take long at all for the wonderful people at BlueSky Designs to modify my MountNMover so it won’t get broken again and repair it and tune it all back to factory spec AND apply some funny stickers that I requested AND send it back to me. I promptly got their arm sent back to them.

Ready to go turn 21

Ready to go turn 21

We went to Rivers casino in Des Plaines I forgot my glasses. On Wednesday August 8th. I forgot my glasses like a big dodo bird!

We got there around 5 and I promptly lost my sobriety at 6:45 lol. Real bloody mary with SKYY Vodka. I also ate lots of crab legs from the buffet, yummy!

I played a bunch of machine games the tables were too packed then headed to the on floor bar for another bloody mary I then had a jamersons shot it was awesome!!!! By now I was pretty high up in the SKYY.

We stayed till 9:30 PM at least and gambled on the houses money for quite some time. I went in with 40 dollars and came out with 45.

What happens in Des Plaines stays in Des Plaines… Except these pictures! I’ll definitely be going back to Rivers, I have a RUSH Rewards Gold Card along with Mom. Playing the games there is a hoot and so is grabbing a drink and having a little buzz to go home on. It also helps my muscle spasticity! VODKA is a great DRUG.

Me and the Siteground Crew

Me and the Siteground Crew

The crew of Siteground gave me a free pass to JoomlaDay 2012. I couldnt make it for any of the trade show conferences but will next year. Siteground is the biggest sponsor of JoomlaDay event Chicago. I did though make it for the dinner banquet where I didnt eat much but had a heap of fun with Tina K, one of the big fishes of siteground. I also met the big kahuna’s Ivo and Tenko. We had a blast wit the DJs and live entertainment and the lighting effects were way cool. Electric Blue Entertainment was awesome. I had a Bloody Mary and I danced in my wheelchair to Star Trekkin across the Universe. People were amazed with how fast I can spin that chair and make the actuators dance. HEHE! I will have to do a video of me doing some Wheelchair Dance Moves with some Royalty Free music, until then heres a video of the venue I was at, the music was stripped out and replaced for copyright reasons. The sound was god aweful anyway due to it being chintzy cell phone mic.

Me with all my drinks

Me with all my drinks

VODKA. worlds oldest DRUG painkiller and sleep aid as far as I know… I bought a 1.75L bottle at the local Adult Drug Store A.K.A Liquor Store a quick shot or double shot (1 or 2oz) of VODKA gives a warm sensation as it goes down and lands in your stomach… ahhh very relaxing for muscles and pain. It’s a drug therefore if you abuse it you lose it. I treat mine as though I would a Schedule II controlled substance (like Morphine) and log the time i took it and how much I used, even for making a drink so that I keep track of how much I am using. VODKA has been around for over 1000 years, we all know what the long term effects are if it is misused and the side effects are nothing like current opiate painkillers and its onset is rapid like IV push when you take a shot. within 10 seconds you feel the effects.

This being said I don’t get why VODKA is not prescribed as a Schedule II controlled substance for pain as an alternative to opiate synthetics which slow down bowel (I already have issues in the bathroom with my slow gut! dont need more!) and do other harm. whos with me?
Know what this is? It's obviously a Screwdriver

Know what this is? It’s obviously a Screwdriver

Then last Saturday I went to the liquor store and got my very own bottles of SKYY and Jamesons and an extra bottle of wine! Suhweet! Also needed a Jigger for measuring out shot’s and got four at the local Marianos. Also I figured out how to open the front door and close it and lock it and unlock it myself without help today which means I can go out and get stuff done myself at the library and the local Marianos and other places like the bank. Im really happy. So the Birthday continues. Last saturday night I slept like a baby, probably cause of the two screw drivers I made, and subsequently stirred with… a screwdriver! I love making Screwdrivers with my Screwdriver. :P

Me with my bush under the deck

Me with my bush under the deck

Last Sunday we planted Fire Bushes out front. I helped out and got to plant my very own Fire Bush that subsequently will be named “Alin’s Bush” We have protective fencing in front of them so that no idiot people walk too close to them or large animals get near them to abuse them or otherwise hurt the young bushes. In the fall these bushes will turn bright red which is how they got the name Fire Bushes. I’m looking forward to seeing these things on fire!

I drove to Jewel and Target last Sunday and have since then discovered that I can practically use my wheelchair like an electric car! It gets serious miles per tank, I mean charge! Target is a good 5 miles away and only knocks off a bar on my battery one way. I have a hard time getting into places like Taco Bell and the bank so what do I do? Well my wheelchair has four wheels, motors, and goes fast. DRIVE THRU! Take a look at the video above to see me driving back from Target and Jewel and using the Taco Bell drive thru!

With this said and the fact my sleep is getting more regulated, thank you blue bottle of SKYY VODKA. I am going to be looking into getting a job as a pharmacy technician at the Walgreens two blocks away or at the local grocery store thats a few more blocks than that. After I go to school and become a full fledged pharmacist I’m off to school for anesthesiology and then, it’s time to knock some people out with bricks, I mean Sevoflurane!

At home in my chair with Mel4 in scrubs!

At home in my chair with Mel4 in scrubs!

Like my scrubs, I love em! I got 5 scrub tops and 4 scrub bottoms. The tops are so dang comfortable I refuse to wear anything else at this point. Same goes for bottoms. This is what I will be wearing as an Anesthesiologist and a Pharmacy Tech, Lookin’ good in the Dickies Medical Uniform. The scrub bottoms are the same as the top above, no other colors. I have a pewter scrub top and a hunter green one but majority of mine are teal.

Video Game Reviews No More

Video Game Reviews No More

Some of you may remember my Video Game Reviews, they are no more, I have discontinued GameFly subscription and retrieved refunds for all of my fees because they screwed me for the whole last month and I got so miffed I was ready to fire up a Visa Fraud Dispute (VFD) because they Failed To Render Services in accordance with the standards set forth by Visa. When a company is subjected to a VFD it does not look good at all to Visa and in some cases Visa will either A. raise their processing fee big time to protect against having to process a insurance claim to get the money back into my card and or pursue a charge back. In ALL cases of a VFD Visa charges the company in question ALL Of the legal fees, processing fees for the Charge Back, and Issuing Bank Processing fees, which can very easily total $100 dollars for a pair of $50 dollar transactions. GameFly promptly simply produced Merchant Refunds which are initiated by GameFly and not a VFD process so as to only pay the small refund process fee which is $2.00 flat rate for up to 3 refunds in a 1 hour period. They refunded all of my $100 dollars for since I signed up with them, the only down side is I am banned from holding a new GameFly account for 6 months. I don’t intend to hold another bloody GameFly account as the service was god aweful slow and I’d only play a game for a day or two in a week, I’d rather use RedBox and pay a buck to play it for a night. So this being said, Video Game reviews are gone for now. But I have something to replace it that is going to knock the socks off of every adult over 21 on this blog, Liquor and Alcoholic Beverage reviews ! I have studied alcoholic beverages for a whole year very closely, so I know more than most people and I also studied from the ultimate bartenders textbook and other sources. I was at the grocery store a few days ago tasting liquors and talking to the staff member there who was a bartender for 20 years and in 20 years of bartending she has never seen a 21 year old, who just turned 21, so well versed in alcohol. I have not drank a drop up till my birthday and as I say earlier in this post I drink to enjoy and drink as a DRUG not to get drunk or to numb myself to the world. Expect Alin’s Liquor Reviews to go live within the next week or so!

Mel4 has some pulled fiber

Mel4 has some pulled fiber

By now you should all know Mel1 is my harness Mel2 is my headrest Mel3 is my stethoscope Mel4 is my Monoflex shown above and Emily is my lead apron and Jenny is my cervical collar. Well Mel4 is having a pretty big issue, pulled fibers and her Bodypoint logo dang near came right off, thats some pretty abnormal wear. I have Mel1 who’s been on that chair for 3.5 years gone through the washing machine and back about 6 times and also gone in the tub with me many times. Mel4 hasn’t done any washing machine trips nor any tub trips. So I E-Mailed Bodypoint, Jill A. and Ashley B. are my ‘Points of Contact’ (POC’s) I used to have Genny B as my central POC along with the pair listed above but Genny B. left Bodypoint to go back to school. I am pretty sure that with how Bodypoint stands behind their stuff that they will either A. Do an exchange or B. Just send a new body for Mel4 to switch into when this one gets to a point of being near catastrophic failure. It’s ok if theres some cosmetic problems but since I am seeing fiber wear down thats a signal that catastrophic failure could happen and my positioning will be compromised if that happens so we have to do things to prevent catastrophic failure and if it does be able to replace immediately, not wait 3 months for my damn supplier to file a replacement… Yes National Seating & Mobility, I am looking at you… with my damn stealh 2QCR that you STILL have not replaced… You… SUCK!!!

Last night I got this awesome idea listening to The Ramones – I Wanna Be Sedated. I love Sevo and Anesthesia and well my Trach Change is tomorrow at 7:15 AM so, what do I do, make a song called I Wanna Be Induced and make a Youtube video. Take a look at it and make sure to watch the outtakes at the end!

Yeah its damn early for a trach change but hey it’s gotta get done and the time they give me is the time they hand me. Ack. At least I’ll gt sleep in the OR!

Well this blog post took me long enough to get put up! I’ll be much faster now. Had lots of stuff going on as you can see!
