I enjoy reading Ruth's
blog, she is an excellent writer and always has something interesting to talk about. The last few days it seems like everywhere I went something was blocking my path. Trying to negotiate the sidewalks after trash day was a real joy. Trash cans and lids were scattered all over the sidewalk making for a very interesting obstacle course. No big deal that's to be expected.
Yesterday I had to do some shopping at Sam's Club. People cut me off with their shopping carts, block me into aisles with their shopping carts and almost hit me with their shopping carts. This usually does not happen but yesterday it happened at least five times. I had to drive like Dale Earnhardt to keep from running into these idiots. Can you imagine the damage I would do with a 400 pound wheelchair if I was not driving defensively? It would probably serve these people right to leave Sam's Club limping. Geez, and I don't even want to talk about people staring at me. You would think in 2008 people would be accustomed to seeing another person (that's right I'm a person not a circus animal) in a power chair.
