Music Therapy Perspectives: A New Look Into the World of Music Therapy

Posted Dec 16 2009 12:00am

UPDATED:

This series is not to be confused with the American Music Therapy Association's newsletter. What an awesome name, AMTA!

ORIGINAL POST:

I've always had an inquisitive mind. One of the things that is unique about it, though, is that I feel like it never stops asking questions. Often, I find myself asking questions in my dreams.

Crazy, huh?

I'm always trying to find healthy ways to quench my curiosity, and friends, I think I found a way that will satisfy your curiosities and mine!

Each week on Music Therapy Perspectives, I will interview both a music therapist and a parent of a child who receives music therapy so that we can all learn from one another. Question topics will range from specific methodologies used in therapy to the unique ways that music therapy affected an individual child.

If you'd like to be interviewed, please contact me to receive your questions and to discuss a possible promotion you'd like to do on this blog. I'll be happy to serve you! Also, if you have a question that you would like to see answered by a specific interviewee or just a question to be posted for the following week, please leave it in the comments on this post, and I will take my questions from the comments section.

I'm excited to be able to learn from my friends and from my readers! Let's ask away!
