MRILOG & Sevo Countdown for trach change.

Posted Apr 11 2013 12:00am

Alright, so I usually log all procedures / anesthesia stuff. Here’s the log from my Brain MRI last thursday the 11th.

STRAP IN 12:48 PM
STRAPPED IN 12:52 PM
DEPART PGH 12:55 PM
ARRIVE LGH 1:22 PM
REGISTERING 1:30 PM
REGISTERED 1:35 PM
PRE-MRI 1:40 PM
IN MRI 2:12 PM
PHASE 1 3:18 PM
PHASE 2 3:59 PM
DEPART LGH 5:30 PM
ARRIVE PGH 6:10ish PM

I have a spinal MRI that will be coming up on the 26th, 2 days before moms birthday. That will be a 3 hour scan. This scan was expected to be about 1 hour and it was. I wake up fast from Sevoflurane which is why it is the ultimate best option anesthetic for my needs. It is fast onset fast offset. Propofol is fast onset with near lethal results the last time I had it. My medical file has a red box warning on it at all hospitals that specifically states “NO PROPOFOL” that is the highest priority alert on my record as far as allergies and contradictions go. I am sure you all have heard of ‘black box’ warnings on drugs. ‘black box’ warnings are the highest priority.

Anyway moving on ITS TIME!!! We have another Sevo Countdown

Trach change.

I am in the middle of producing lots of content for the blog. Video of a new anesthesia song is the highest priority.

My first Ham Radio Airing is the next priority along with the unboxing of that

And last but not lowest priority is to get all of me and shawns nascar videos up.

Sorry about the lack of blog post-age but my sleep has been a wreck and I have been trying to churn out content in the midst of playing with the radio.
