MEGAPOST Trackpad fixing, Xeroxed Droid X, health club, New glasses, Pirated golf, Driving from Elk Grove, Unboxing… It, D

Posted Oct 03 2012 12:00am

Yet another megapost. Sorry. Been busy.

I don’t promote beating up your computer. Though I do in this one case think its good because it fixed my trackpad and I don’t need to set foot in an Apple store, which is a good thing as with the whole iPhone 5 situation going on, they are nuts!

Well I like making funny videos and I decided I got this wonderful copier. I think i’ll make a video about some funny copying stuff. Well here it is, prepare to laugh.

Me and my new Health Club Card

Me and my new Health Club Card

I now go to the health club. Helps to go in the steam room and pool.

YAY Brand new ones WITH NEW LENSES $25

YAY Brand new ones WITH NEW LENSES $25

Well my old glasses broke, namely the main weld on the frames. The warranty covered it at $25 and the lenses had some scratches. Flat Rate $25.00 got me brand new pair of glasses. Woot!

Piracy is illegal yada yada yada. Screw that crap. It’s not piracy unless your making money off of it, thats my policy and no one is going to change me. If you don’t like it theres a red X button calling your name. I am pro filesharing but I am against any type of piracy where a person makes a monetary profit. File sharers buy the disc and make it available for free, its copying but its at a loss. The person is 1. Spending time defeating the copy protection mechanism (if any) then 2. Spending MONEY on the internet service to upload the file (seed for you bittorrent nerds) 3. Spending CPU (computer processor) hours if necessary to transcode the file.

File sharing its self is not illegal and it was decided this way in Portugal. Now we just need for the United States beurocrats to wake the hell up and smell the files… and coffee.

I drove home from Elk Grove!

I drove home from Elk Grove!

I took the wheel over on Saturday. We were in Elk Grove village which is right by KORD (O-Hare International Airport, KORD is the ICAO callsign… I know that cause I’m a flight nerd.) and dad switched seats with me. We drove around Elk Grove Village including Thorndale Ave which is pretty much an expressway. Talk about quite a bit of high speed driving. I then took a chance and said, can I drive us home? I got approved, I had the honor of driving us home from Elk Grove Village! I did pretty good especially with the seat being adjusted TOO DAMN LOW for me resulting me in not being able to track the lane correctly, especially the fact it was DEAD NIGHT and this was my first time driving at night! I had some hard times with making turns and ending up in the correct lane, again I blame it on being night time and unfamiliar area and bad positioning. Dad only had to grab onto the wheel and force in a few course corrections. A few other verbal course corrections were issued and completed. I got us home in one piece and even managed to park the car in our driveway! Schweet!

Woot this thing is awesome

Y’all are probably going nuts screaming OMG Don’t show your damn credit card on your website. CHILL people. I got heaps and heaps of security systems across my identity. You even go so much as to TRY and steal my identity and alarms will go off and people will be calling me. Thank you Lifelock. In fact I’d openly post my social security number here on this website, but that is against the Lifelock service policy. Intentional dissemination is against the policy. However by showing this credit card I am not intending to disseminate identifying information, hence why I don’t show the back of the card, this is one of those new it cards from discover. It has nothing on the front except an awesome texturized brushed metal look. Gone the way of the dodo are th raised numbers! I also made an unboxing video. This is very unusual to get a credit card in a BOX and unbox the credit card But the cool thing is this credit card will help me get more things to unbox, funny how im unboxing something that will lead to more unboxings!

Club Route

Club Route

Sunday I drove for the first time with mom in the van to the health club. I was worried she would totally freak out and stuff but she stayed calm and I drove much better than the Elk Grove trip. It being night time then I Had some lane dpartures. In this trip the seat was adjusted correctly and I only had one lane departure that required a verbal course correction.

Fire, Moon, Rett Lights

Fire, Moon, Rett Lights

Sunday we had a fire and I took some cool photos of that, including quite a few new camera tosses. Gotta love camera tossing. I took some super closeup photos of the full moon. Which the full moon combined with the geomagnetic irregularities that it produces I think are to blame for my screwed up sleep pattern.  I also got my purple lights up for Rett, our purple porch light bulb is out so I didn’t take picturs of that. I am running an unofficial IRSF fundraiser through Facebook and Giveforward, the fundraiser is  No donation necessary to participate but donating will help me do a faster Light – Money match

In terms of official stuff IRSF is letting people view their documentary ‘Silent Angels’ Free all through october. It is an awesome video to learn rett syndrome in plain english, Its free to watch, all you need is a Facebook account!
