Dr. Amit Goswami was at our church from 10 to 5 PM for a huge workshop yesterday, it was awesome, I ran sound with my little friend our 16 channel Behringer board. He is a world renowned “spiritual” Theoretical Quantum Physicist and Neuroscientist. He is easily known for being in What The Bleep Do we Know, and Down the Rabbit hole which is a sequel movie to that movie. Both movies are amazing, they will open your mind to the possibilities and have you thinking for years to come about… what makes us, us. He has a new movie that is all him named Quantum Activist which I have yet to see but I already know it will be awesome.

Today (10/18/09) we had a few funny sound goofs. First of all we walked in, well I drove in of course and after a bit noticed some loud music from the auditorium and were like oh crap they started sound checks, but who’s doing sound!??!? So me and dad go to the sound room to find a guy in there doing sound, he is one of the authorized sound technicians (though not a real sound engineer) and we said to him, HUH? We are doing sound today, and he said no look at the playbill, so we look at the bill and look at each other and say to him, we were told to run this event a whole month ago, and he was like, “Great I’m outta here screw this!” and I took my rightful place in front of my little friend the 16 channel Behringer soundboard.
On the way out I caught Todd our choir director walking out with a very heavy beige box computer, I looked at him and said “What’s with the computer, didn’t you run the powerpoint off a laptop or something” He eloquently replied “Err, uhh, well I will tell you the truth about this computer. This is actually my home computer, I was in such a rush to get here and not be late so I didn’t have any time to get it onto a CD or Thumb Drive so I just ripped the plugs out of the computer and monitor and grabbed an extension cord and ran to the car with both in arms and drove here, my wife laughed at me and thought I was insane. I will tell her you are laughing too, she will like it”
Shown above are two nice pieces of blackmail hehe, well not really. As I told Todd he was subject to being blogged. The other unidentified sound guy is unidentified for exactly that reason.
