Disability Doesn't Discriminate

Posted Jan 14 2009 8:38pm
Why should you care about disability? Why should you be an advocate? Why work for equality and access for everyone? Because disability does not discriminate, it does not care.......
If you are a newborn baby, a teenager, middle aged or a senior citizen.
If you are black, white, yellow, brown or purple.
If you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or an atheist.
If you are poor, middle class, rich or megarich.

Sooner or later all of our lives are touched by disability. We will personally experience disability or a member of our family will, we are all temporarily able-bodied. It's so important to see the individual first and not the disability, we are all unique and valuable.
