CODE BLUE. BACLOFEN PUMP!!! And Snowstorm Disaster. CRAP! BAD COMBO!

Posted Feb 03 2011 12:00am

See the video above? Listen to the first alarm, the low reservoir alarm. That started going off at 8:53 AM today. That pretty much means I need to get to the hospital urgently, within the next few days or the second alarm is going to sound when my pump is empty and I am going to need an ambulance to get me there FAST before I go into acute baclofen withdrawal which can be life threatening. Anywho we had an appointment for tomorrow with CODE RED priority on it. That apparently got slashed when my spasticity started getting worse around noon. And we called the hospital and their outpatient care center is closed until further notice. The worsening spasticity is a bad sign so we called a CODE BLUE

Not at all a good mix, one of the hugest blizzards I have seen hit our area hit this week shutting down the outpatient care center and lots of other stuff. This weather is atrocious. Click the photo for more details on that
