Whole Foods Market teams up with Houston Humane Society for Community Giving Day!

Need groceries? Love animals? Support the Houston Humane Society with your weekly grocery shopping list. Shop and fill up your grocery carts at 4 local Whole Foods Market locations on Wednesday, June 24th! Whole Foods Market will be donating five percent of the net sales from the entire day to the Houston Humane Society. Participating locations are 2955 Kirby Drive, 77098, 4004 Bellaire, 77025, 11145 Westheimer Road, 77042, 6401 Woodway, 77057.
“Participating in Community Giving Day is a great way to show your support for the Houston Humane Society with something you already do – buy groceries!” says Lisa Pogue, Public Relations Director for the Houston Humane Society. “We are so excited to be one of Whole Foods Market Community Giving Day receipts. The proceeds from this day will help benefit all the wonderful animals at the Humane Society.”

We even have a Core Value that is caring about our communities and our environment.” says Kimberly Crowder, Media & Community Relations Coordinator for Whole Foods Market Houston. “In that spirit, Whole Foods Market created Community Giving Days where five percent of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit organization.”
Whole Foods Market Houston offers a Community Giving Day approximately each quarter during the fiscal year to a nonprofit agency. The funding must be used the directly impact the local Houston community.
Other activities that day include a Houston Humane Society mobile adoption at the Bellaire, Kirby and Wilcrest locations along with radio stations 103.7 Jack FM, 97.5 ESPN and 104.1 KRBE providing support and giveaways to customers!
