USDA Announces the National Poultry Improvement Plan’s General Conference Committee Meeting and 40th Biennial Conference

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is giving notice of a meeting of the general conference committee of the national poultry improvement plan (NPIP) on Aug. 31, and the NPIP's 40th biennial conference Sept. 1 and 2, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego in San Diego, Calf.    The general conference committee of NPIP represents cooperating state agencies and poultry industry members and acts as liaison between the poultry industry and USDA in matters pertaining to poultry health.

The meetings will be open to the public but due to time constraints the public will not be allowed to participate in the discussions during either meeting.  Written statements on meeting topics may be filed with the committee before or after the meetings by sending them to Andrew Rhorer (address below).  Written statements may also be filed at the meetings.  Please refer to Docket No. APHIS-2010-0026 when submitting statements.

Notice of the meetings is published in today’s May 3 Federal Register.
