This could be a primary problem with her urinary bladder...either a cystitis from an infection or possibly involving bladder stones. Either of these can be diagnosed easily by your veterinarian.
The much more serious consideration is the possibility of a pyometra, which is an overwhelming infection in the uterus. If she has been spayed, this of course would not be a consideration. A visit to your veterinarian is a must...and soon!

For the past two days my cocker spaniel has had trouble passing bowels and urinating. This morning I noticed small amounts of blood from here vaginal area everytime she attempts to urinate. What could the problem be?
